I am Roy Bassave, a.k.a. The Tekzar Guru, a freelance Hispanic Home Electronics and Gadgets reporter. For over 25 years I have covered the Consumer Electronic Industry by attending The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas and E3. My “Video Game of the Week” reviews (1989-1999) in the Miami Herald and Knight Wire became the first of its kind in the nation. This includes creating the first weekly Spanish weekend section technology page in El Nuevo Herald from (1991-1997)

Today, I own and operate Gadgetsandgift4u @ www.roybassave.net website to better serve my readers. My Gift Guides will be posted all year long. If you would like to contact me regarding my plans please e-mail me below.

From Sept. 2000 to mid-Aug. 2001, I was the Managing Editor of WSVN-Channel 7’s Website.

Prior to that, I contributed organizations such as: Tribune Media Services: On Media Special Sections, Knight Wire, www.etown.com, The Marin Independent Journal, the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, Where Miami, Dealerscope Magazine, PSX Extreme, Twice Daily Magazine, Visions Magazine, E-Gear, among others.
During the 1990’s I was a staff writer at the Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald, were I produced weekly and bi-monthly staff and KRN Wire syndicated columns covering Consumer Electronics, DVD, Movies, Home & Design, Travel, Toys, Celebrity Interviews, The Original Video Game of the Week Column (I was the creator and at the time the only one of its kind in newspaper print and wire) and much more. These stories and my Gift Guides can be found in the Herald’s 1987-1999
